( the offer he gives is tempting though. crossing the dark town without a sound is- nerve-wracking at best. her only hesitation is pavlova- but he's also a responsible boy, isn't he? )

Oh, I could if I wanted to, I guess, but it wasn't necessary. Not that I had a lot of time for things like that! Too busy being the all-knowing fount of answers to everyone's questions! Then, of course, there was the thousands of years I spent as a spirit!
[There's no bitterness there at all, but food is kind of fun. Eating is fun! He likes snacks and sweets which is why he loiters at the Cafe a bunch, drinking all their tea and eating desserts while he reads.]

It's mine, so of course it's up to my standards. Why don't I give you a tour? It looks way better now than it did before, obviously, but I made some changes!
Oh, I can make you a liiiiist! Sweets, pastries, things with a little bit of crunch but not TOO much! Nooot a big fan of spicy stuff, but a little cinnamon and clove are to DIE for! Oh, and PUDDINGS, puddings are delightful!

I'm in the process of trying to fill out the library but adding some Earthbread books, oooover this way is the classrooms! There's only a few but I suppose I couldn't just have an entire university in town, so what does what one must! The stairs are over here-
( lily listens, giggling softly. so many sweets! though it's to be expected, surely. they, themselves, are from a world of sweets. )
... I like floral flavors. But my favorite snack is goat cheese and honey on a big slice of bread. And I really like some of the savory things in this world! They're so unique, you'd never find them on Earthbread.
